From September 13 to 15, 2024, the TT Circuit Assen is all about the TABAC Classic GP. This annual race event promises to be a spectacle once again this year, with a unique program featuring 21 races, numerous demonstrations, and a paddock full of historic race cars, sidecars, and motorcycles. Fans can enjoy legendary drivers, thrilling races, and a great atmosphere at the Dutch racetrack.

Formula 1 Demo with Emerson Fittipaldi
One of the highlights of the weekend is the appearance of former F1 World Champion Emerson Fittipaldi, who will give a demonstration with the black-and-gold Lotus 72. In this iconic car, the Brazilian Formula 1 legend secured his first world title in 1972. The combination of this legendary driver and the rich history of Team Lotus will create a magical moment on the Assen circuit. In addition to Fittipaldi, other impressive single-seaters will be in action. Lorina McLoughlin will drive the Benetton B192, in which Michael Schumacher claimed his first victory in 1992, and the Minardi M187 will also tear across the Drenthe asphalt.

Sidecar Legends Return to Assen
Sidecar racing fans are in for a treat, as multiple world champions Steve Webster and Rolf Biland return to the TT Circuit. More than thirty years after their glory days, they will give demonstrations with the sidecars of the past during the TABAC Classic GP. This is a unique opportunity to see these iconic machines back in action at the famous 'Cathedral of Speed.'

A Weekend Packed with Car and Motorcycle Races
The TABAC Classic GP offers an impressive overview of motorsport history, from pre-war sports cars and classic motorcycles to famous Formula 1 cars. The event also showcases numerous classic vehicles that once dominated the streets. Races like the Tourenwagen Legenden with old DTM cars, the Youngtimer Touring Car Challenge, and the Super Sixties Racers take the audience back in time, while in the ADAC Graf Berghe von Trips Trophy and the Historic Formula Vee Cup, historic formula cars compete for victory at Assen. The International Historic Racing Organization (IHRO) brings the magic of classic GP motorcycles back to life, just as they were in their heyday.

Collin Veijer at Assen
Moto3 star Collin Veijer, the 19-year-old motorcycle racer who has won the hearts of many motorsport fans in the Netherlands, will be present at the TABAC Classic GP. The Dutch Moto3 talent will be at the TT Circuit on Sunday, September 15, and will be happy to make time for autographs and selfies with his fans.
