Classic Team Lotus brings the legendary Lotus 72 to Assen
During the TABAC Classic GP Assen weekend, Classic Team Lotus will make an appearance with the legendary black-and-gold Lotus 72. In this car, Brazilian Formula 1 legend Emerson Fittipaldi won his first world title in 1972. The iconic livery and the impressive history of Team Lotus and the car make this a special moment at the TT Circuit Assen.
Fittipaldi will take action in the historic Lotus car on September 14 and 15 during the TABAC Classic GP. His return to the Lotus 72 offers fans a unique chance to experience a piece of motorsport history up close. In addition to the many races in Assen, there will be plenty of opportunities to celebrate the rich racing heritage, with a program packed with speed, spectacle, and nostalgia at the nearly 100-year-old Drenthe circuit.
